Whilst flicking through the pages of eBay I found this creme pallet which had the right shades of brown and seemed rather shimmery, which for an evening look, I find works well and looks great as the lights reflect off of the particles of glitter in the powder to give a stunning look to your eye make up.
Working with creme eyeshadows can be a bit tricky as if you have oily eyelids the creme will quite literally just slide off!! The smart way to get round this problem is to apply a powder base first before applying the creme shadow and believe me if you do this it will last.
Anyway....back to the product. It had 3 shades of brown and a white to highlight the brow bone area. The texture of the shadow is very creamy, it is best applied with brushes as I did try the applicator, however, it was not easy to blend with the applicator and I seemed to have use more of the product using the applicator than I did using the brush. My favourite shade in the pallet had to be the gold (colour #2) it was shimmery, however, the rest of the colours I felt were rather matte and dull and did not go with the bronzed, tanned look which I was going for, I had to apply extra eyeshadow glitter for that glowing/shimmering effect. On the plus side the back of the packaging contains instructions on how to apply for a smoky eye look and on the whole the colours used with other eyeshadows give a nice base or finish to a browns/golds eye look. I would give this product a 2.5/5, basically if there was another product available to me and I was offered the Avon pallet then in all honesty I would take the alternative as there is not a great deal of 'glow' nor is the creme shadow in this pallet easy to work with. Let me know what you guys think and let me know of any great finds you have or products you think are worth giving a miss. Would love to hear from you.
